Under supine position, chest sono revealed as mentioned above. After local anesthesia, thoracocentesis was performed over right 7th ICS at anterior axillary line, 5 mL serosanguinous pleural effusion was aspirated. Then, a pig-tail catheter, 8Fr., was inserted over the same route in one-step method and fixed at 15cm. Then, 5cc pleural effusion was aspirated. The post-procedure sonography showed no pneumothorax. The patient tolerated the whole procedure well. Recommend closely follow-up patient's clinical condition for possible complications such as pneumothorax or hemothorax. (DOC____)
